I wanted to apologize for missing class last week. I’ve never missed an entire week of class. I’m sorry I didn’t contact you earlier, but I feel so embarrassed. My family and I spent a month in a shelter. We hadn’t been able to find a place to rent. When I would call on an apartment, they would tell me they didn’t have any left. I think it’s because of my accent. When we did get an appointment, they wouldn’t rent to us because of my husband’s legal status.
