For Ms. Hovey

Sometimes there are moments in your life that you know will change you forever. An event so astonishing and unique, an interaction so profound and wonderful that you will never be the same again. Those monumental moments shape you and animate you. Then there are the people that come into your life and nudge you ever so subtly. A nudging so subtle that you don’t even notice until years later when you look back and think, I am who I am today because of people like that. This is about one of those people.
