My Experience With White Privilege
When I was 19 I went on an LDS mission to Guatemala. I spent two years there. I lived in 5 different towns and cities and saw a variety of landscapes and met a wide range of people. Everyone from wealthy business owners in the city to a single mother who lived in a one-room adobe building with her three children, a sow, and her piglets. I saw places full of hope and places that were ravaged by “development” and greed.
