You’ve probably heard the story of the butterfly emerging from it’s cocoon and the boy who tried to help. After the boy helped the struggling butterfly, he discovered it was unable to fly. Its wings had not been strengthened and prepared by the natural struggle of it’s metamorphosis. It’s a convenient object lesson about how difficult situations can make us stronger and prepare us for future challenges. We frequently find ourselves in a struggle to get free from the restraints of our cocoons.
