You Don’t Need a Resolution, You Need a Manifesto

Setting goals is great. Achieving goals is great. But what really matters is who you are, or who you want to be — what you stand for, the causes you support, the kinds of people you want in your life. Knowing these things will lead you to the life you want to live. If you’ve already set some resolutions or are thinking about some, that’s good. They can point you towards the truth of who you want to be.

Aristotle wrote that some actions are means to ends and some activities are ends in themselves. A resolution is a means to an end. A manifesto…
